How to Add Sticky Notes to a PDF
How do sticky notes appear in PDF viewers like Adobe Acrobat?
Sticky notes are saved as standard PDF Text Annotations. In Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, and browser viewers, they appear as clickable note icons that expand into full comment popups when clicked or hovered.
Can I move or delete a sticky note after adding it?
Yes. Switch to the Select tool, click on the sticky note icon to open its properties, drag it to a new location, or click the delete button to remove it.
Can other people read and reply to my sticky notes?
Yes. Anyone who opens the exported PDF in a standard PDF reader can click the note icons to read your feedback and add replies.
Does adding sticky notes modify the underlying document text?
No. Sticky notes are non-destructive annotation layers that sit on top of the document without altering existing page text or layout.
Are my comments or documents saved on any external servers?
No. KissThePDF is 100% client-side. All processing happens in your browser memory and disappears when you close the tab.
